Vanke Cloud City is located in Xiamen Jimei New District, surrounded by eight universities and 150,000 young officers. We take young people aged 18-35 as the core clientele to renovate the building facade.

The purpose of the renovation is to create a cultural atmosphere with a strong attraction to young people in residence, office, and business.

The project is inspired by the Memphis design style. Breaking the conventional commercial building form in terms of color, structure, shape of the building to increase the sense of the vitality of the site.

As an open commercial district, the Cloud City is planned into four areas:

1. Activity Area: providing after-school activity places for college students, with street culture as the main design style.

2. Social Place: a space for “dining + social”.

3. Snack Street: providing various dining options beyond the cafeteria for students.

4. Living Area: providing a place for the surrounding people to live and relax.

Our design project is adapted to local conditions, starting from the needs of young people's lives, and flexibly adjusting the layout of the commercial area to attract more young people to the commercial street.
