Design ideas:

A key design objective is “green health life”. It’s two worlds coming together: Nature and urban, excitement and tranquility, yin and yang. Added to this mix of urban and natural, public and private, elements and furniture and vegetation, water features and retail space will further consolidate the masterplan, providing lively, interactive spaces that enrich the urban form.

Environmental Sustainability:

Our vision for the island is clean and healthy with low impacts on its surroundings. Following our pedestrian mobility strategy, cycling stops are found at nodes of comfort and interchange.

As such, cycling stops are plentiful, convenient, and offer visitors opportunities to rest, explore the surroundings, or change to another mode of transport. Most importantly, they serve as an ongoing option for healthy and clean movement from attraction to attraction around the island.

In terms of water solutions, multiple technologies and well-organized water system for collecting, treating, and reusing water depending on the degree of contamination. This system will integrate a separated network of dirking, rain, grey, sewage, and regenerated water.

As for Energy solutions, the passive building design is adopted for solar protection and natural ventilation. A sustainable logical arrange of matter cycle and reuse of waste are established to ensure waste valorization.

Landscape design:

Taking an example of the traditional Chinese garden, we have designed a changeable landscape that will adapt to the different needs and characteristics of each area. Planting and land forming strategies employed across the site work as a sophisticated open space network that will improve air and water quality, promote ecological resilience and ensure human comfort.

We understand not only the design of the space and selection of the vegetation and natural life, but also the importance of urban design. This form includes architectonic elements and urban furniture to enrich a person’s experience on the island.
